19.09.2022: Since 2017, the glacier forefield has changed. For example, a lake has been created and the first bushes have been able to establish themselves in the area of the lake.
Location 3 is located near the Burghütte.
On the left in the foreground you can see glacial polish with clear glacier striae. In the glacier forefield on the photo of 23.9.2017 you can see a quite large boulder, which is no longer visible on 5.9.2018. He's probably sunk in the soft ground. On the right you can see a depris cone. The missing counterpressure of the glacier ice led to tensions in the rock and later to a rock fall. Typical glacial trough.

19.09.2022: The changes on the right-hand debris cone are interesting:
1) The largest boulder was still part of the rock face above on 5.9.2018.
2) The boulders at the foot of the scree cone have sunk into the sandy subsoil over the 4 years or so.
