The Schwärze glacier (Schwärzegletscher) is located on the north side of the Pollux (4089m). Until about 2020 it flowed into the well-known Gornergletscher. Around 2020, the Schwärzegletscher lost contact with the Gorner glacier (Gornergletscher) and since then no longer supplies it with ice.
