From the eastern lateral moraine (shortly before 'Uf der Moräne') the glacial lake presented itself on 27.9.2019 as follows:
Lower glacial lake from the eastern lateral moraine on 27.9.2019.
At 1, the ice bar that dammed the glacial lake partially collapsed. The lake probably emptied slowly.

View of the glacial lake (or what is left of it) from the mountain path leading from the eastern lateral moraine towards the glacier.
Lower glacial lake from the mountain path to the glacier on 27.9.2019.
At 2 was the surface runoff of the glacial lake.
At 3, the ice bar has melted back strongly in recent months.

Partially collapsed ice bar.
To the right of 5 is the ice block, which can be seen in the photo below.
This block of ice at the edge of the ice bar has so far successfully defied gravity.
The partially collapsed ice bar from the north on 27.9.2019.
To the left of 6 we discovered the opening of a small meltwater channel. Through this channel the lake probably emptied itself at least partially.
Detail from the photo above.
This photo shows the partially collapsed structure of ice and debris (possibly interspersed with ice), which dammed the glacial lake, from a northwestern direction.
Partially collapsed ice bar from northwest on 29.6.2019.

Ice sheet from the west on 27.9.2019.
We could not see the area left of 8 well. On the (former) lake side, there was a continuous opening in this area approximately at the level of the lake. It is conceivable that the lake partially drained through this opening.
Ice sheet from the south on 27.9.2019.
On the right of 9 you can see the above mentioned tunnel.
