07.09.2025: Observations of the Doldenhorn Glacier and the Spitz Stei landslide area

On 7 September 2025, we made the following observations from the Doldenhorn Glacier and the Spitze Stei landslide area:

The crevasse has changed again since August 2024. In the snow-poor winter of 24/25, less snow was blown in at the top than in the previous winter. See also Comparative photos of the formation of the crevasse.

The terrain to the right of the yellow dots slopes downwards. The clearly visible valley-shaped incision to the right of the yellow dots is called Nackentälchen.
