Aerial view of the lowest part of the Stein Glacier. The glacier has evaporated (i.e. the protective snow layer has melted away 100%). On the surface, the melt water has eaten small streams into the ice, which look like veins. In winter/spring this glacier is the starting point for the ski touring route to Sustenhorn.
